NYX 'Nude on Nude' Palette Review

NYX 'Nude on Nude' Palette

For those of you out there who don't know I have a slight problem when it comes to 'Nude' palettes!
I am slightly obsessed with them!
Soooo when I spotted this palette in TK Maxx, of all strange places,  I absolutely had to have it ! The fact that it was reduced to £14.99 also sealed the deal!

Now, NYX, isn't a brand I am particularly familiar with, but I am so glad I took the plunge with this palette as it is fabulous!

The palette comes nicely boxed and contains 20 neutral shades of eyeshadow

Plus a further 10 'perfectly chosen' lip shades to compliment the nude shadows.

The shadows are very nice quality and cover a good range of gorgeous colours, some quite unusual. There is a good mix of sparkle/shimmer shades plus also quite a few matte shadows, which I was very pleased about,  as I don't already have many of these,  preferring to opt for shimmery eye shadow's.
Matte shadow's are however, sometimes useful as a crease contour to add background depth and define your eye shape.
They go onto the eye nicely and blend out well, and with a eye primer, I use Urban Decays Eye primer potion,  stay on all day without creasing - fab! What more could you want girls?!

The lip colours are also adorable, great selection of pinks, peach's classic nudes and a couple of red's.

I have to say they do look better on the lips than in the palette, the left  hand 5 'pinks & peaches' are all quite shimmery on the lips but sheer,  the right hand 5 'reds & classic nudes'  give more of a sheen to the lips but are still quite sheer on, but buildable.
The red lip colours do look quite scary in the palette and I didn't think I would like these two but I was pleasantly surprised, they are actually nice on the lip. They are not 'full on dark red' as they are fairly sheer but still quite glamorous and would compliment a more evening nude look well.

Reds & Classic Nudes Right 5 lip colours

I think this palette was designed originally to rival Urban Decays NAKED palette,  and although it would take something really amazing to truly rival that, I think this palette is certainly a good accompaniment to it, with the added bonus of the lip colours.

This would make a superb addition to anyone's make up collection.

RRP £25.00 from NYX Directly here -

However, I found this in TK MAXX at a silly £14.99, so if there is a store near you then it's worth having a look first.

NYX also do a smaller 'Nude on Nude' palette of  9 shadows & 2 lip colours for £12.00 - looks equally as gorgeous but more handbag/travel friendly
Find it here -
