The Dita Von Teese Golden Eyelights Palette is my first introduction to ArtDeco Cosmetics and what a introduction it is!
I fell in love with the gorgeous artdeco feather design on the outer box and palette itself first THEN as soon as I saw the design was repeated inside in the eye shadows themselves I absolutely HAD to have it!
My goodness these eye shadows are stunning! They have an amazing shimmer and sparkle and they do have a element of glitter to them, so you do need to be careful with it dropping!
That aside though they are beautiful colours, a pale rose, mid taupe and a ivory highlighter. The base colour of the shadows comes out as more of a pearl glow on the eye with the glitter dispersed through it.
They are actually quite delicate on the eye and really suit a pale skin tone well, they give a very pretty soft sophisticated smokey eye using all three shades, that can be vamped up with winged eyeliner and lots of black mascara, but you could equally just use the rose across the lid for a simple look.
They are lovely quality, they apply and blend well and stayed on all evening using a eye primer (Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion).
I've only used them in an evening so far as they are a tad to sparkly for a daytime look for me.
The palette is plastic but has a high quality very reflective golden finish, and has a nice weight to it, there is also a full size mirror inside which is very useful.
It certainly has the look of a vintage cosmetic compact.
This would certainly be well received as a gift by anyone who appreciates beautiful things.
This is a lovely lovely product, and I am totally loving the ArtDeco Dita Von Teese Golden Vintage Collection as a whole, it has everything stunning packaging and a product that performs well.
You can purchase this palette for £25 and more from the range at Debenhams online -
As always thanks for reading!
