Toxic Beauty

Toxic Beauty by Dawn Mellowship arrived in the post yesterday, I purchased it mainly because I am embarking on a experiment to see if natural make up can be a suitable substitution for conventional make up.
I have a little bit of knowledge when it comes to ingredients but I thought I had better have a read up on this subject so I can be better informed when it comes to reading ingredient labelling and understand more about cosmetic terminology.
I really bought this paperback book because it has two fairly comprehensive sections on just this topic.
A-Z of Common ingredients, with explanations of what their uses are, where they come from and how they can affect us.
Glossary of Chemical & Cosmetic Terms - fully explains those really long unpronounceable chemical names that are on most ingredient labels!
These two sections take up just under half the book but it does have a wealth of other information in it too including a very interesting chapter on skin allergies and disorders.
If you are at all interested in labelling and ingredients then I can really recommend getting this book,
it's easily understandable and I'm no rocket scientist believe me!
I think it's going to be a really useful reference book for me to dip in and out of.
It retails for £7.99 but I picked this up at for £5.59.
If you don't mind a used one from Amazon 'sellers' then there are quite a few for £2-£3
Kindle Edition is £4.99 ~ but I preferred to get this as a proper book so I can just grab it and flick through it quickly as and when I need to.
As always thanks for reading !
Any Thoughts?
