Magazine Handcream Freebies April 2013 Issues

Both Good Housekeeping and Marie Claire April 2013 issues, out now, come with a really nice complimentary natural hand cream.
Good Housekeeping has the Balance Me Super Moisturising Hand Cream 50ml which retails for £10.

The Balance Me Super Moisturising hand cream is 98.8% natural and is packed full of botanical extracts, shea butter is high up on it's list of ingredients so you know it's going to be fab for very dry hands, which I have!
It is a thick cream and smells very botanical, it reminds me very much of Elemis's Herbal Lavender Repair mask in it's smell, I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was yesterday when I first tried it I just knew I'd smelt something similar before!
As the product suggests it is very moisturising, my hands soaked this up in no time and didn't feel greasy afterwards but I think if you don't have particularly dry skin on your hands then this will be too much for you or best reserved for a intensive night time treat.
I liked this hand cream but the strong herbal smell could get a bit much if you were using this several times a day as it does linger for a while after application, over all though did a good job.

Marie Claire has the Neal's Yard Bee Lovely Hand Cream 50ml which retails again for £10.
This hand cream is just beautiful, it uses organic honey blended with orange oil and other botanical extracts to sooth and moisturise the skin.
It is a slightly lighter lotion texture than the Balance Me, but still moisturised my hands very well, it was absorbed quickly and easily. This would be a fab hand cream for during the day application as it's not at all greasy and would suit pretty much everyone's hands.
It smells absolutely divine ~ of oranges, but not a sickly sweet orange, a fresh burst of citrus aromas that is really refreshing! It does linger on the skin but I really like the scent so I didn't mind this!
This cream is just a lovely product and I will be buying this again and look at buying the full Bee Lovely range from Neals Yard.

25p from each Bee Lovely product is donated to bee friendly charities like Buglife, Landlife and Pesticide Action Network plus many more,  all of whom are working on saving our Bees, without which the human race would find it very difficult to survive.

This is something I personally feel quite passionate about and I will be doing a full blog post dedicated to this subject shortly, concentrating on how we can all help Bees by not using pesticides in our domestic gardens and planting plants & flowers specifically as a food source to attract bees and other pollinating insects.
Overall I am very happy with both hand creams especially as they were free! (well OK, not exactly as I had to buy the magazines!)
They are perfect handbag sizes and I would definitely recommend picking them up this month.

Good Housekeeping is £3.90 & Marie Claire is £3.80 I picked mine up from Tesco.
What do you think to these hand creams ?
You are welcome to leave your comments and Blog links below
Till next time my lovelies!
