Festive Bakes ~ Vanilla Shortbread Snowflake Biscuits

These Vanilla Shortbread Snowflake biscuits are so easy and quick to make, and can be left plain or decorated as ornately as you like.
I've used two different sized snowflake cutters but you can easily use whatever Christmas shaped cutters you have already, trees or stars work equally as well!
OK lets get started!
~ Vanilla Shortbread Snowflake Biscuits ~
~ Ingredients ~
110g Butter Softened
50g Caster Sugar
175g Plain flour
1tsp Vanilla Extract
~ Method ~
Pre heat the oven to 160 degrees and grease a baking sheet.
Add the butter to a bowl and beat with a wooden spoon until its a soft consistency, then add the sugar and beat again, followed by the flour & vanilla essence.
Still using the wooden spoon, start to bring the mixture together then bring it together completely with your hands, until you have a dough.  There should be no mixture left on the sides of the bowl.
Next add a little extra caster sugar to your surface and roll out the dough to approx 3mm thick.
Using your snowflake cutter, cut out your biscuits and place them on your prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the oven for approx 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Transfer the biscuits to a wire rack to cool completely.
These biscuits will keep for a few days in an air tight tin, if they last that long!
All that's left now is to enjoy with a nice cuppa!
